One of Berian Peninsula’s most important air hubs, Malaga International Airport is situated about five miles southwest of downtown Malaga and about three miles north of the popular resort of Torremolinos. The airport’s two terminals are positioned next to each other and are internally linked.
The Centro Plaza, which can be found in Terminal 1, offers numerous possibilities for refreshments including cafés, dining establishments and fast-food eateries. Additionally, on the second floor in the Departures concourse, you’ll find the Centro Comercial offering several cafés and pubs.
Passengers have the option of buying tax-free goods at a selection of shops in the Centro Comercial section of the airport. More shops can be found at Terminal 1 in Central Plaza. Across the two terminals, there are sufficient numbers of ATMs, while a bank is positioned in the Arrivals concourse of Terminal 2.
Business travellers can make use of the airport’s two VIP lounges which are fitted with telephone and fax amenities. Rooms for business meetings can be rented as well. Physically handicapped passengers will find designated parking spaces, but a disables persons’ badge must be shown in order to use these parking spaces.
In the airport building, there are disabled persons’ lavatories and ramps while all areas are accessible by wheelchairs. Airlines can offer special assistance inside the airport building but must be informed in advance.
More than 400 long-duration and 1,200 short-duration car parking spaces are on hand in the parking sites. There are also several private car parks available which offer secure and professional services. These private parking sites often provide cheaper rates.
Many passengers choose to hire a car directly at the airport, but taxi and bus options are also on hand. If you want to take advantage of the best deals, we recommend you book car hire online in advance.
