Climate in Malaga

weatherMalaga has a pleasant Mediterranean climate all year round, with the greater part of the year enjoying bright sunny days. The winter is very mild due to the combination of mountainous terrain together with the coastline, with an average maximum temperature of 22.8ºC and a minimum of 13ºC. Summers are hot and dry, reaching temperatures well into the 30’s. Fortunately the heat is bearable due to the low humidity.

The weather can be slightly unpredictable in Malaga, especially in October (autumn) and April-May (spring) with a few sporadic showers and also some rainfall during winter.

If you are in Malaga during the summer months, it is advisable to bring mostly clothes that will keep you cool. You may need some slightly warmer clothes for the evenings as it gets a little cooler. If you are visiting during the winter then clothing will have to be a little warmer, because despite the sun, windy days can bring down the temperatures making it a lot cooler.
